About

Alvin Cotto
Owner/Executive Chef

I am Puerto Rican and my wife, Melissa,  is Cuban-American.  Our family consists of four amazing children, two horses, two dogs, a guinea pig, and a leopard gecko!  We have been catering since 2002 and have had the honor of preparing meals for large and small corporate events, church functions, birthdays, receptions, holiday parties, weddings, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, and family gatherings. We are a family owned/operated business serving the local community with the most authentic and original cuisine possible!

I grew up watching my mom and aunts cook from scratch. I always had an interest but it wasn’t until I was in my early 20’s that I really began pursuing my culinary career. I’ve been in the restaurant industry for over 14 years, starting out in the dish room and working my way up to Executive Chef of a fine dining restaurant. My love for cooking has really been a great catalyst to push me to grow my knowledge of different cuisines. I’ve worked with some of the most amazing local chefs in the industry who have helped to hone my skills and abilities as a Chef.  I came to a point in my career where I wanted to provide a more personal type of food service so I left the restaurant industry to start up our catering business. While we specialize in authentic Puerto Rican and Cuban cuisines (not spicy, contrary to popular belief!), we are definitely not limited to those areas. We are very versatile and can also prepare menus ranging from Italian, Thai, Mexican, Vietnamese, Jamaican, Indian, traditional  Southern American, and more.  We take great pride and pleasure in creating specific, personalized menus for our client’s events to make each one as memorable as possible.
